  • Georgia Greens Demand Congressional Commission to Investigate Epstein Pedophile Network

The Georgia Green Party encourages all Georgians to demand of their Congressional  Representatives that they investigate, expose and prosecute the entire Epstein network of pedophiles and traffickers.

The party is proud to join the demand of Epstein Justice (https://epsteinjustice.com/) for a Congressional Commission for this purpose.  And we would be remiss were we to fail to note that policies advocated in our platform for twenty or more years would have been vital to preventing the obscene levels of corruption we now witness in public affairs, which we suspect will be unearthed by any honest investigation.

In 2004, the national platform endorsed the Swedish model, now known as the Nordic Model, described now in the Georgia party platform as:

Greens support a goal of abolishing prostitution, with the adoption of Nordic-Model inspired reforms which: (1) criminalize pimping and pandering, (2) protect those prostituted by the industry from prosecution, (3) offers survivors social support sufficient to an exit strategy, and (4) leverage public educational resources to address men’s sense of entitlement to sexual access to women’s bodies.

Our platform has, since 2001 advocated for sex and health education in public schools to “encourage self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth among young women, . . . (to) teach young people to respect each other’s choices”.

Since our original nominating convention in 1998, the party’s platform has called for a meaningful recall procedure to challenge and hold accountable sitting elected officials. We have fought for reasonable access to the ballot for our candidates as well as for voter initiatives necessary to set policies that elected officials ignore or refuse to enact.   We have supported the right to referendum.  Perhaps most fundamentally, our platform has demanded that we, . . .

. . . provide public financing of election campaigns so that a candidate’s meaningful access to the electoral system is not determined by money; and where candidate viability is determined by their appeal to the electorate not their appeal to wealthy contributors.  (And that we prohibit the use of p)rivate money in public elections.

As a party brought together by a shared commitment to green values, among them democracy, we ask Georgians to confront the moral implications to the nation of allowing this corruption to go unchecked.  The future of our children, our communities, our congregations, and our nation’s politics are at stake.  We cannot ignore the grave miscarriage of justice, nor the corruption in the land.  Our failure to demand accountability leaves us vulnerable.  We have been warned that, “Whoever rewards evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.”

The Georgia Green Party urges that every Georgian reading this use the links on this page to find the contact information for your Members of Congress.  Then use those phone numbers and email addresses to let yourself be heard on this issue.

While you have their office on the line, remind them you still oppose and condemn our nation’s complicity with the Occupation’s genocide in Palestine.

890 British pensioners were arrested on terrorism charges this past month for holding a silent vigil on Parliament Hill in London.  They came together in solidarity with Palestine Action, for the humanity of Palestinians and in opposition to their nation’s complicity with the genocide in Gaza and the rest of the Occupied territories.  Most of them face up to 14 years in prison for their action.

If we cannot end this corruption with our hands, let us at least speak against it with our voice.

    On behalf of,
    the state committee
    of the Georgia Green Party
    meeting Sunday evening, 2025-Sep-07

P.S.  If you have figured it out already, that you really could do a better job of serving your community than is the incumbent now in office, please contact the party.  Preparations are already underway for our February 2026 Nominating Convention and the qualifying window the next month for candidates for public office.  Let us explore together if there might be a seat for you on our 2026 slate.

  • Now is the time! Ask those Vote-shaming Democrats: Is Trump Really A Greater Evil? Greater than Genocide?

Abandon Harris quartersheet Do Not Vote Trump, Do Not Vote Harris, Do Not Vote Genocide. Vote Jill Stein, Rudolph Ware.

Two days ago, a two-plus decade long supporter of our efforts to build a new political party in Georgia called me with a great deal of anger and fear for another Trump administration to argue that ‘now is not the time’ for us to put at risk the chances for the Party of Genocide to retain the White House.

Yet, every election cycle is an opportunity to build political power independent of the corporate duopoly parties.  Any election cycle not used for that purpose is wasted and sets back whatever progress we have made in previous election cycles.  To demur at this time is to shrink from the challenge put before us.  No one else will build this party but us.

When we registered on May 8th, 1996 with the Secretary of State as a political organization in Georgia, we said in our registration statement that our Party “is being organized to provide an electoral tool for the grassroots movement for social justice, peace and non-violence, participatory democracy and ecological sustainability”.  In this year, the movement for peace and opposed to genocide has rallied around the campaign we mount as a vehicle vital to the expression of their political aspirations for this country.  It would be a tragic abdication were we, at this late date, to withdraw from the field, to decline to participate or to deny the peace movement an opportunity to use the party we have built as a vehicle for their efforts.

We are hearing from the muslim supporters of our campaign that this is a time for sacrifice; that the sacrifices we are asked to make pale in comparison to the sacrifices being endured by our neighbors in Gaza and Palestine, in Syria and Libya and Yemen.  They are urging us to take the risks demanded by our desire for change.  We are listening as muslim advocates for the the Stein-Ware 2024 campaign push back against the bullying by democrats who express entitlement to our votes, reminding our communities that now is the time that we must play the long-game.

If our muslim neighbors are willing to risk another Trump administration, with its muslim bans and moving the US embassy to the contested city of Jerusalem and the heightened islamophobic rhetoric, certainly we can share that risk.  Solidarity requires that we overcome the fear, that we share the sacrifice, that we face threats together.

And ultimately we can push back against the blue team’s bully tactics with a show stopping question of our own:  what evil could possibly be greater than genocide?

The following was authored by a coastal Texan active with the Abandon Harris campaign.

    Is Trump really worse?

In August 2024, just DAYS after Kamala announced she was running for President, the State Department, under Biden/Kamala, announced that the U.S. had approved another $20 billion weapons package to Israel to kill more innocent children and elders, to be sent to Isreal over the next 3-5 years

Again… how much of this money could be used here in America for homelessness, healthcare, education, and more domestically?

‼️Kamala is in office as VP and just announced she’s running for President and has no influence over her own President and state department, and somehow expects to influence others after the election…

If she wants us to vote for her, influence her own President to overturn this before the election

‼️ Listen to the hypocrisy in Kamala’s speech at the Presidential debate

“Hamas, a terrorist organization, slaughtered 1,200 Israelis. Many of them young people who were simply attending a concert. Women were horribly raped…*.

Compared to when she followed within minutes with…
“far too many innocent Palestinians have been KILLED” …

    In which case

    1) she had no mention of the numbers…let’s do the math…I believe 30,000+ far exceeds 1200 based on what I learned in kindergarten so I would expect the shock and awe to be around the larger #… and let’s not even start with the Hannibal Directive that was issued which caused who knows how many of the 1200 Isreali deaths…

(May God have mercy on all those who have been martyred on all sides, as not a single civilian death is acceptable)

    2) She had no mention of murdered or slaughtered or bombed when she referred to the Palestinian deaths in her speech, whereas minutes earlier she personally chose to use the word “slaughtered’ in reference to the Israeli deaths (God have mercy on all)

    3) No mention of proven rape of Palestinian prisoners, while she chose to emphasize the unfounded allegations of Israelis who were as she said “horribly raped”

    On top of that…

‼️ In Dec 2023, Biden bypassed Congress twice to sell arms to Isreal (which Israel paid for with the annual $3.8 Billion in aid we’ve been sending every year)…

Had Trump done this, we would have all gone wild saying there was a fascist dictator in office but we stayed quiet since Biden was a Democrat

‼️We don’t say a word when Dems cause evil, and then when the Republicans do it, we yell and scream…

I definitely hate Trump and have always, but after learning about the hypocrisy of the Democrats in the executive branch (not necessarily the case with Congress etc), I’m having trouble seeing what makes them “the lesser of 2 evils” when the evils are as horrible as they are…

Abandon Harris to Launch Georgia Campaign
Georgia Green Party welcomes national effort, endorsement

    A Media Advisory

    Event:  Press Conference
    Date/Time:  Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at 11:30 am
Place:  Martin Luther King Center; 449 Auburn Avenue; Atlanta GA 30312

As their website puts it, “The Abandon Harris Campaign (formerly the Abandon Biden Campaign) seeks to empower people of conscience to leverage their vote for the US presidency and, consequently, effect moral change in the United States and around the world.” The strategy is simple: encourage voters to reject Harris and Trump, and any party complicit in war and genocide, by supporting candidates like Dr. Jill Stein who stand firmly against these atrocities.  Last week, Abandon Harris officially endorsed Dr. Stein.

This endorsement reflects a significant shift, showing that people of conscience are moving away from traditional party lines to support leaders who align with their principles against genocide. Polling among Muslim voters shows that the non-Trump vote among Muslims is evenly split between Harris (D) and Stein (G). Dr. Rudolph (Butch) Ware, Dr. Jill Stein’s Vice-Presidential running mate, noted, “The Democrats have lost the Muslim vote. And we are never coming back”.

The Muslim vote in Georgia is estimated as at least 6 or 8 times the margin of victory which gave Biden the Georgia electoral college votes over Trump in 2020.

Dr. Hassan Abdel Salam, founder of the Abandon Harris effort, is expected to travel from Michigan to join this press conference in Atlanta.

The Georgia Green Party, since 1996, has been dedicated to building a political alternative that opposes imperial aggression, supports critical election reforms, demands universal healthcare access, addresses the climate crisis, and tackles the wide range of crises facing Georgia communities.

Georgia Green Party Prepared to Appeal Judge Malihi Order
Legal options still open to Georgia Green ballot access efforts
Party remains ready to offer ballot qualified opposition to war and genocide

In a series of rulings adverse to the cause of political independence Administrative Law Judge Michael Malihi found reason to support each of the ballot qualification challenges filed by Democrat voters.  Those Democrats seek to deny Georgia voters inclined to vote for Green and independent candidates an opportunity to see their candidates of choice on the Georgia ballot.

Among those adverse rulings, in the case Pigg et al vs Carr et al (the Georgia Green Party slate for Presidential Electors), Judge Malihi rejected every contention of challengers but one.  The Court found that the Georgia Green Party is a registered political body in Georgia and is in compliance with respect to how its Conventions were publicized and conducted, and how its slate of candidates for Presidential Electors was qualified.  The Judge found that the one shortcoming was in the party’s ability to document its place on the ballot in twenty other states under a new statute adopted this past Spring.

“One cannot produce documents which do not yet exist”, said Hugh Esco, Secretary of the Georgia Green Party and the sole witness called in the case.  “As our testimony made clear, Secretary Raffensberger has asked us to produce documents, many of which do not need to be filed in other states until up to three weeks after his early deadline for our filing with his office here in Georgia.  This deadline undermines the intention of the General Assembly and the early date imposed serves no compelling governmental interest.”

Party officers were not surprised by the ruling given the limits imposed by the administrative procedures act which prohibit the consideration of Constitutional concerns by Administrative Law Judges.  Judge Malihi’s Initial Order is now sent to the Secretary of State to inform their final determination.

“We hope though that the Secretary’s office will collaborate with us in recognition of the obvious Constitutional issues raised by the early deadline and save us all the trouble of an appeal to Fulton Superior Court,” said Craig Webster, counsel for Georgia Green Party respondents.

new process for getting on the ballot has ever been used in Georgia.  It was created by an act of the most recent term of the Georgia General Assembly.

While preparing for Friday’s filing deadline, the party faced a challenge mounted by Democrat voters seeking to deny Green voters an opportunity to vote for their candidate of choice.  They have raised a shifting array of arguments each intending that the Georgia Green Party not be able to offer Jill Stein and Rudolph Ware as its Presidential Slate to Georgia voters in the upcoming general election.

The Affidavit was delivered, along with 299 pages of supporting documents by Hugh Esco, Secretary of the Party.  As a witness at Thursday’s hearing Esco told the court,

“I think it’s pretty clear that the Assembly wanted to make it possible for new political bodies, new political parties that have some base of support across the nation to participate in our presidential elections.  I think that that’s a good thing and it ought to be applauded.”

Additional pleadings are expected from both parties by noon, Monday.  The Judge has asked for language for his proposed decisions.  He also offered to consider additional arguments related to new issues not previously briefed and new exhibits offered without notice by petitioners.

Blake Evans, Director of the Elections Division told Esco that he expected a determination by the end of next week.

  • Green Party calls Frivolous, Candidate Qualification Challenges Filed on behalf of Biden-aligned SuperPAC

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    press-secretary@georgiagreenparty.org

Green Party calls Frivolous, Candidate Qualification Challenges
Filed on behalf of Biden-aligned SuperPAC
    Corporate Interests Choose our Candidates
Before Voters Choose our Elected Officials

In a July 12th complaint filed with the Secretary of State of Georgia, Bondurant, Mixon and Elmore, a corporate law firm in Midtown Atlanta, has challenged the qualifications of the Georgia Green Party to nominate candidates for public office, and particularly in the Presidential race. They filed this action on behalf of Craig Louis Pigg, Catherine Smith, and Mary Lou Waymer. A hearing on the matter is expected before the Office of State Administrative Hearings.

Support is collapsing in key demographics1 2 traditionally depended on by the Democrat Presidential bid. The mental competency of their presumptive nominee is being widely questioned, and rumors are flying that Article XXV is under discussion and that next month’s convention in Chicago will, again, toss out the primary results only this time to conduct an open nominating process. In 2016 they ignored Primary voters’ support for Bernie Sanders so that DNC Super Delegates could nominate Clinton3 4 5 6. In 2024, it looks like Biden could be replaced by his party, after they excluded all internal challenges for their nomination from the process.

Biden won by the narrowest of margins in 2020. It is in this context that a super PAC supporting the Biden campaign is funding legal challenges across the nation to ensure that the Democrats face no ballot-qualified opposition competing for the ‘Anyone but Trump’ vote.

“The Clear Choice PAC intends to choose our candidates, and limit voters options before we have an opportunity to choose our elected officials,” said Hugh Esco, Secretary of the Georgia Green Party who for six years chaired the Georgia Voter Choice Coalition. “The corporations have traditionally used the wealth primary for exactly this purpose, and have managed to foreclose policy reforms from within their parties. We know they pitch their sock puppets against one another as a circus to distract voters. Here they seek to also exclude the party we built to represent the interests of working people. And most insulting of all, they fraudulently claim the mantle of democracy as they limit our choices.”

Bondurant, Mixon and Elmore describe themselves as “an elite group of highly-qualified litigators dedicated to winning high-stakes business disputes”. They operate out of a suite of offices on the 39th Floor of One Atlantic Center on Peachtree Street.

Their ballot qualifications challenge relies on the failure of these ‘elite litigators’ to craft an open records request which would elicit the documents they claim do not exist.

The Georgia Green Party first filed its registration as required by law in May 1996. The state political body has subsequently updated after every convention its registration to reflect the changing membership of its state committee and officers. The party’s governing documents, including its Nominating Convention Rules were included in that initial May 1996 filing. Those rules have been subsequently amended more than a dozen times. The latest change was made on November 7th, 2021, and certified to the Secretary’s office shortly thereafter.

“Biden has already been implicated in a campaign of ethnic cleansing acknowledged by the International Court of Justice as a probable genocide. Trump urges that we ‘finish the job’,” said Esco, Secretary of the Georgia Green Party. “If this dark money assault on the democratic rights of Georgia voters is not defeated, Georgia voters will be denied a ballot-qualified slate expressing our opposition to genocide. It’s time we stopped pretending we can export democracy by way of weapons sales and Pentagon deployments and started learning what democracy could look like at home.”

  • Georgia Green Party Qualifies Slate Anticipates Mounting Ballot Qualified Challenge in 2024 to Genocide, Corruption and Dereliction by Corporate Party Candidates

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    Georgia Green Party Qualifies Slate
Anticipates Mounting Ballot Qualified Challenge in 2024
to Genocide, Corruption and Dereliction by Corporate Party Candidates

Yesterday, the Georgia Green Party filed qualifying paperwork for its slate of Presidential Electors, a crucial step towards placing its Presidential nominee on the November ballot. After three decades of facing exclusionary ballot access laws, party officers are cautiously optimistic that  every Georgia voter in 2024 will see the Green slate on their ballots.

In previous years, Georgia Green Party candidates like Jeff Gates in 2000 and John Fortuin in 2020 qualified for the state-wide ballot in special elections, but without party labels, and with no opportunity to secure a ballot line for future elections.

The party faces one final filing deadline to document that the party and its nominee have qualified candidates for presidential elector in at least twenty other states or territories; however the hundred volunteer hours to compile that filing pales in comparison to the cost of mounting a 70,000 signature petition drive for statewide ballot access under the former rule.

The twenty-state rule was created by a reform to Georgia’s ballot access rules signed by the Governor this Spring.  It applies to only the Presidential race and follows a legal battle initiated  in 2012 on behalf of the Georgia Green Party by Cynthia McKinney.  The suit challenged  Georgia’s previous ballot access rules. This new law creates an additional path for any party seeking a ballot line for their Presidential slate.

“The Democrats imposed exclusionary ballot access rules in 1943 to exclude Republicans and Communists from Georgia’s ballot,” noted Hugh Esco, Georgia Green Party Secretary who for six years chaired a multi-partisan coalition seeking to reform those laws. “Now, for the first time in thirty years, we can reach every Georgia voter with ballot-qualified Green candidates.  Our aim is to retain a ballot line for the 2026 statewide elections.”

Since 2000, Green Party nominees have appeared on ballots in 25-45 states.  With Jill Stein as the party’s presumptive nominee, the party’s focus in 2024 is on ending the Zionist Occupation of Palestine, and its genocidal atrocities, particularly in Gaza.  The party has long supported the campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions and advocated for a single democratic state, protecting the human and civil rights of all who live between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

At the state party’s May 18th convention, delegates adopted a new platform plank demanding U.S. compliance with its treaty obligations to prevent genocide, and identified as a priority urging the publication of the Equal Rights Amendment, as having been ratified as the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution.

First the Trump and now the Biden Administration have fought recognition that the ERA has been ratified by the states.  Each Administration used Justice Department attorneys to argue in Federal Courts against litigation seeking to compel the National Archivist to perform her ministerial duty to recognize the ERA’s ratification by 38 states.

In its work on the mechanics of electioneering: turning out the vote, enrolling candidates for future elections, and securing a ballot line for 2026, Georgia Green Party activists intend to press its demands related to the ERA, ending the occupation of Palestine and the siege of Gaza, while advocating for the party’s platform on a wide range of issues.
