David Rovics to Play Benefit for Georgia Green Party, Nov 12th, Spring4th Center

David Rovics Sings Songs of Social SignificanceThe November 2nd General Election may have pathetic choices at best to offer us. But just in time to put us in the right frame of mind for the annual gathering (this year on November 19th through 21st) to close our local terrorist training camp at Ft. Benning, Georgia, David Rovics brings his music of resistance to Atlanta's Midtown.

David grew up in a family of classical musicians and lives now with in Portland, Oregon though he tours regularly on four continents, playing for audiences large and small at cafes, pubs, universities, churches, union halls and protest rallies. He has shared the stage with a veritable of who's who of the left in two dozen countries, and has had his music featured on Democracy Now!, BBC, Al-Jazeera and other networks. His essays are published regularly on CounterPunch elsewhere, and the 200+ songs he makes available for free on the web have been downloaded more than a million times. Most importantly, he's really good. He will make you laugh, he will make you cry, he will make the revolution irresistible.

He will grace the stage at a benefit for the Georgia Green Party on Friday evening, November 12th at the Spring4th Center (in the SouthWest corner of Spring and Fourth Streets) at 728 Spring St NW in Midtown Atlanta, across the street from a parking lot, convenient to the interstate and two blocks from the North Avenue MARTA station.

Party supporters who can help with publicity and advanced ticket sales are urged to use the quarter sheet and poster attached below to spread the work in your community. You may also volunteer by calling 678-298-9463.
